From The CEO: An Open Letter to Music Publishers | Mechanical Licensing Collective
The MLC's Chief Executive Officer, Kris Ahrend, has shared an open letter to music publishers to provide updates on The MLC's progress toward building a brand-new, state-of-the-art user portal and offer steps music publishers can take to help ensure The MLC can fulfill its important mission.
In the letter, Kris asks music publishers to participate in The MLC's Data Quality Initiative to compare music works data with The MLC's database and identify and address any discrepancies. Additionally, Kris provides information to help music publishers who are affiliates of HFA to authorize HFA to share account information with The MLC.
